Winners announced in College poetry competition

Judges, including Ruthie Collins and Dr Rod Mengham, revealed the nine winning poems and a highly commended entry at a celebration event last week.

The inaugural ÌÀÍ·ÌõÔ­´´ poetry competition was themed around nature and the environment. It was open to all students, staff and Fellows at Jesus, who were invited to submit a poem of between eight and 30 lines. 

The judging panel hosted a poetry celebration in December 2020, which included discussion on poetry’s role in emotional wellbeing and community outreach.

The judges were delighted by the variety and creativity of the entries.

The also specially commended Captain Jack by Miles Stopher.
