Students reach next stage in international law competition

Three Jesuans were involved in the University of Cambridge team that reached the UK final of the world's largest moot court competition.

Three Jesuans were involved in the University of Cambridge team that reached the UK final of the world's largest moot court competition.

Together with the winners from King鈥檚 College London, the Cambridge team will go forward to the international rounds of the competition held in Washington DC later this month.

This year鈥檚 team included current second year student Imogen Beltrami (2017) and was coached by PhD student Bruno Gelinas-Faucher (2017). Dr Michael Waibel (Fellow and Co-Deputy Director of the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law) served as Faculty advisor.

The 60th UK Jessup National Rounds of the Philip C Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition were held at Gray鈥檚 Inn from 15 to 17 February 2019. With participants from over 700 law schools in 95 countries, Jessup is the world's largest moot court competition. You can read more about the competition .
