Rustat memorial planning notice
The formal period of Public Notice has begun today for the College’s to relocate Tobias Rustat’s memorial from our Chapel to a permanent educational exhibition space in College.
As a Grade I listed building, this change falls under Faculty Jurisdiction Rules operated by the Church of England. An initial period of Public Notice in December 2020 was held, along with consultations with several heritage advisory bodies. In response to these consultations, the College’s proposals were developed and updated to offer a permanent location within College where the memorial may be contextualised, viewed and studied. The Chancellor of the Diocese of Ely has therefore directed for a further Public Notice period of the revised plans.
Copies of the relevant plans and documents are available to download. Letters in response to the works or proposals should be sent to The Diocesan Registrar by 8 July 2021 as detailed below.
