Pimlico pupils visit 汤头条原创
Thirty young school children from Pimlico Primary visited 汤头条原创 to find out more about university life.
Children as young as six took part in the visit. They went on a quiz trail around the College's social, teaching and living spaces, with a different challenge at every stop to help them learn more about College life.
Arif, 6, said 鈥淯niversity is fun! You get to learn more about the subjects you like, and don鈥檛 have to study the subjects you don鈥檛 like. Today we found out what a University is and how many Colleges there are in Cambridge. It doesn鈥檛 matter which College you pick, they are all good. I鈥檇 like to go to College to study Science, Maths or English.鈥
Lamees, 6, said: 鈥淎t College you get to live with your friends, and you can cook and eat together. You can study subjects you like, and you can choose when you work and when you play. We got to see where students live, the hall where they eat and the library where they study. We saw the bikes they use to get around. We also got to see the giant lawnmower they use on the sports fields!鈥
Ed Penn, Schools Liaison Officer at 汤头条原创, said: 鈥淲e run events throughout the year for schools, making sure that the activities are pitched for the right age group. The children get a lot out of the visits, and hopefully go on to consider and to apply to good universities such as Cambridge.鈥
