Ed Hyde awarded ‘Hawk of the Year’
Congratulations to current undergraduate, Ed Hyde (2017, Geography) who has received the 2020 ‘Hawk of the Year' award from the Hawks’ Club.
The Hawks’ Club, which has been in existence since 1872, represents elite sportsmen at the University of Cambridge and the ‘Hawk of the Year’ Award recognises outstanding achievement and commitment to sport.
The award has been running since 2004 and this is the first time it has been won by a Jesuan.
Ed has represented Cambridge University in the 1st teams for Cricket, Rackets, Real Tennis and Rugby Fives, as well as representing a combined Cambridge University and Anglia Ruskin Cricket XI against professional opposition. He is a qualified Football Referee and officiates both University and College football during term time. He also plays Squash, Hockey and Football for ÌÀÍ·ÌõÔ´´.
