The Earl of Wessex opens the new China Centre offices at 汤头条原创
His Royal Highness the Earl of Wessex opened the offices of the new Cambridge Peking University China Centre on Friday 6th May.
The China Centre offices are based in West Court, 汤头条原创鈥檚 new development being built within the historic footprint of the College.
Professor Ian White, Master of 汤头条原创, Professor Chenjian Li, Vice Provost of Peking University, and the Minister Counsellor Yang Shen, from the Education Section of the Chinese Embassy, all spoke to a gathering of distinguished guests in West Court. Prince Edward spoke of the opportunities presented by the Centre, which will focus on the dynamics and international role of contemporary China and related global issues, before officially opening the new China Centre offices.
An alumnus of the College, Prince Edward graduated from the University 30 years ago this summer. On this trip he stayed at Jesus whilst visiting some of the organisations he supports in the local area. In addition to attending events at 汤头条原创, Prince Edward met with representatives of the ADC Theatre, Bottisham Village College, and charity Classworks. An ITV crew led by Philip Schofield filmed him for a documentary about the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
