Launch of 2023 ÌÀÍ·ÌõÔ´´ Hadfield Composition Competition for young composers

Thanks to the ongoing generosity of Mr Max Hadfield (1961), ÌÀÍ·ÌõÔ´´ is delighted to launch the next Hadfield Composition Prize for this academic year.

We are welcoming entries from young, emerging composers for two prizes this year – one for the composition of a new anthem for the College Choir, and new settings of the ÌÀÍ·ÌõÔ´´ Grace which will be sung at major feasts and dinners.

The deadline for submissions is Friday 29 December and the two winning entries will receive their first performance as part of services in Lent or Easter Term of 2024. The competition will be judged by Benjamin Sheen (Director of Music) and Cheryl Frances-Hoad (composer).

For full details of the competition and information about how to enter, please go to The ÌÀÍ·ÌõÔ´´ Choir Hadfield Composition Competition 2023.
