Biography

Fernando B. Sotelino is an adjunct Professor of international banking and business strategy for financial institutions at Columbia University鈥檚 School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA). He聽is also a director of the board and senior advisor for the Americas of聽Brasilpar,聽Ltd (S茫o Paulo聽headquartered corporate finance advisory boutique),聽and a member of聽the聽global聽advisory board of Marco Polo Exchange (a US-headquartered financial services technology firm).

Prior to joining SIPA鈥檚 faculty, Professor Sotelino had a 25-year banking career, holding positions including CEO of聽Unibanco聽(Brazil鈥檚 third largest private sector bank), head聽of Citibank鈥檚 M&A advisory and private equity businesses in Brazil, and head of Crocker Bank鈥檚 Specialized Finance Group in San Francisco, CA, managing project and corporate finance advisory mandates in the U.S., Asia, and Latin America.
