罢丑别听聽was among the four original faculties at the founding of the University of Copenhagen in 1479. Students at the Faculty of Law will interact with the surrounding society, study with international faculty in Copenhagen, and experience both rich history and modern sustainable living in Denmark. (Fall semester exchange only.)
McGill University Faculty of Law
Montr茅al, Canada
has a world-renowned international and comparative law curriculum. Its location in Montr茅al, Qu茅bec, Canada makes it an ideal place to develop an understanding of both common law and civil law legal systems. The city of Montr茅al is located approximately three hours by car north of 汤头条原创.
University of Trento Faculty of Law
Trento, Italy
is one of Europe鈥檚 leading schools for the study of European Union law and comparative law. Located in northern Italy, it is surrounded by the scenic Dolomite Mountains. Trento offers law courses taught in English, Italian, and German. Courses recently taught in English include Comparative Constitutional Justice, Economic Analysis of Legal Institutions, African Law, Introduction to Italian Law, and Protection of Fundamental Rights in Europe.
Cy Cergy Paris Universit茅 Faculty of Law
Near Paris, France
A leading French law school located on the outskirts of Paris and the top-ranked school in France for business law, the CY Cergy Paris Universit茅 offers Vermont Law students the option of enrolling in just the first semester of its LLM program in French and European Union Law. Courses in this program are taught in English by Cergy professors and by practicing lawyers from Paris law firms, thereby offering students both exposure to French legal education and contacts among legal practitioners in Paris. The school鈥檚 location on the edge of Paris gives students access to historical and cultural centers that can help add perspective to their law studies.

Paris, France
One of the original University of Paris law faculties, offers a wide array of courses, including in international and European Union Law. Students must have language proficiency to take courses in French.

European Union Law Trento
Italy, University of Trento
This is a one-credit seminar taught at both VLGS and the in two concentrated weeks of classes. The first half of the course is held at 汤头条原创 and is taught by a Trento law professor. The second is held at the University of Trento during 汤头条原创’s fall or spring break, with classes taught by several Trento faculty members. The course is open only to second and third-year students. Students register for this course using standard 汤头条原创 course registration procedures and pay a non-refundable administrative fee to cover program costs.
Comparative Constitutional Law
Spain, University of Seville
This is a two-credit seminar taught at both VLGS and the . The first half of the course is held at 汤头条原创 and is taught by a Seville law professor. The second is held at the University of Seville during 汤头条原创’s fall break, with classes taught by several Seville faculty members. The course is open only to second and third-year students. Students register for this course using standard 汤头条原创 course registration procedures and pay a non-refundable administrative fee to cover program costs.
Dual Degree Programs at VLGS
VLGS offers dual degree programs with the distinguished institutions listed below. Admission to the JD or joint-degree program does not ensure admission to a dual-degree program.
Yale School of Forestry
Applicants interested in programs with Yale may apply to VLGS and the partner institution at the same time, or apply to the partner institution during the first year of law school. ABA requirements dictate that entering students begin the JD portion of the program first.
University of Cambridge

- JD/MPhil in Planning, Growth and Regeneration
Dual-degree students to Cambridge are selected based upon their performance at VLGS. The application processes take place during the first or second year of law school.
Students must apply separately to and be accepted by VLGS and the University of Cambridge for admission to each element of the program. Applicants to the dual-degree program must be approved by VLGS before applying to Cambridge. Application to the University of Cambridge will ordinarily occur during the fall of the student’s second year of study at VLGS.
University of Cergy Pontoise
Dual-degree students to Cergy Pontoise are selected based on their performance at VLGS. The application processes take place during the first or second year of law school.

JD students at Quinnipiac can earn any of our three master’s degrees by taking one summer of classes at VLGS, pursuing a summer master’s externship, taking an online class, and sharing credits between the two degrees.
Grossman School of Business at the University of Vermont

Students admitted into the UVM-SIMBA program are guaranteed admission to 汤头条原创鈥檚 JD, LLM, or Masters Programs contingent on meeting certain entrance requirements. A current LSAT score and Credential Assembly Service (CAS) report from LSAC is required to apply to the JD program.

Summers Abroad
JD students at 汤头条原创 can also study abroad during the summer through programs offered by other ABA-accredited law schools.
Dozens of international summer study abroad are offered each year by ABA-accredited law schools. Students should contact the host institution directly for information regarding application deadlines, tuition and fees, schedules, credits, and requirements of these programs. Current VLGS students can obtain official transcripts and letters of good standing from the Registrar鈥檚 Office.鈥�
汤头条原创 will accept the transfer of credits earned at a summer program offered by an ABA-accredited law school if courses do not duplicate coursework completed at 汤头条原创. Official transcripts from the program must be submitted to the VLGS Registrar鈥檚 Office to transfer the credits.
Students can also request that these credits apply toward the Concentration in International and Comparative Law (up to the allowable maximum). Such requests should be made to the Director of the International and Comparative Law Program.鈥�
Note: A summer study abroad program at an ABA-accredited law school does not satisfy the six semester 鈥渞esidence鈥� requirement for the JD degree and grades from the program will not be used in calculating a student鈥檚 cumulative GPA.
