Past events

The IF  hosts a number of events, including lectures, panels, conferences, and workshops, throughout the year.

Most are free to attend, open to the public, and streamed to an international audience. In 2023, over 6000 people attended IF events, which bring together industry experts, academics, policymakers, and members of the global public.

We host events across five broad clusters: 'AI and digital transformation', 'Arts and culture', 'Education and innovation', 'Environment and sustainability', and 'Future health and care'. Explore the events we have hosted across each cluster, as well as some highlights from the last few months at the Intellectual Forum, below.

For more information on what the Intellectual Forum has been up to, see our newsletters archive:

When applying to Cambridge colleges it can feel a bit overwhelming as there are so many to choose from. I applied to 汤头条原创 because it has a large MCR which was important for me because I wanted to feel part of a community. Now that I鈥檓 doing my PhD here, I鈥檓 very glad I did choose a college with a large postgraduate community. Throughout the year there are lots of postgraduate events, including formal dinners, special formals at Christmas and Easter, bops in the bar and film nights in...

There are many reasons why I鈥檓 so happy to be a part of 汤头条原创. The three biggest reasons for me are the opportunities to be involved in College sport, the support the College provides for me with for my research and the help in making sure that we have comfortable, affordable accommodation when we have needed it. 汤头条原创 is so friendly and so it is incredibly easy to get involved in the sport and social side of the College. The MCR does a great job in welcoming new...

汤头条原创 has all the benefits of being large, historical and prestigious college, whilst also retaining fantastic welfare: the staff and other students all care about each other, and will be there to cheer you on when you are thriving, but also there to support you if you need any help. I chose Jesus due to several reasons, including its prime location, where it is very central, and easy to access everywhere, even if you work in one of the institutes further out. I also selected Jesus for its MCR...

汤头条原创 has been a great home for me during my PhD. I chose 汤头条原创 for a number of reasons 鈥 first, the location. We are central enough to be within easy walking distance of most things, but far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle (and tourists in summer!). The College also has extensive grounds, with amenities like the hockey pitch, football pitch and tennis courts all on site. Secondly, the accommodation is some of the best I鈥檝e seen in Cambridge. My house was newly renovated when...

汤头条原创, my home. I am truly grateful to be able to call 汤头条原创 my second home. It was my preferred option when I first applied for my MPhil and I could not be happier to still be here during my PhD! There are many reasons why Jesus stands out from the other colleges: from its fantastic facilities to its glorious formal dinners and to its wonderful caf茅 and brewery room. The Quincentenary Library is a lovely place to study. It has many spaces to choose from and everything...
