Susie Biller

Susie took up the position of Assistant Director of Kettle's Yard in 2021 and is responsible, with the Director, for the strategic leadership of Kettle’s Yard. She oversees communications, audience development, operations and financial management, HR, community and learning, the digital strategy and plan, and commercial activity. Susie has been at Kettle’s Yard since 2001 and was Head of Communications from 2012-2021. Previously, Susie worked at Leeds City Art Gallery. She has a BA in History and History of Art from Birmingham University and an MA in Museum Studies from Leicester University.

Jody Joy

Jody is a Senior Curator at the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology (MAA), University of Cambridge. He also lectures on prehistoric archaeology and museum studies for the Department of Archaeology. Jody has had a curatorial career spanning nearly 20 years. For 8 years he was Curator of European Archaeology Collections at the British Museum, before joining MAA in 2014. He has curated numerous exhibitions on subjects as diverse as the archaeology of childhood and the Mesolithic site of Star Carr. He has also written many academic and popular books of prehistoric archaeology and museum studies, particularly the ethics of displaying human remains in museums. His latest book, co-edited with Julia Farley, details the well-known Iron Age hoards from Snettisham, Norfolk.
 

Luke Syson

Luke is the fourteenth Director of the Fitzwilliam Museum. From 2012-19, he was Chairman of European Sculpture and Decorative Arts at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, where he led on the complete refurbishment of the British Galleries, a $22m project, which opened in March 2020. Luke has held curatorial positions at the British Museum, V&A and the National Gallery – where he led the successful campaign to acquire Raphael’s Madonna of the Pinks for the nation and curated the highly-acclaimed exhibition, Leonardo da Vinci – Painter at the Court of Milan in 2011.  Since arriving in Cambridge, he has overseen a series of acclaimed exhibitions, ranging from ‘Hockney’s Eye’ to ‘Gold of the Great Steppe’, from ‘Black Atlantic’ to ‘Real Families’, and the refurbishment of the Fitzwilliam’s primary paintings galleries.
